Desktopple Pro Widget

Sometimes it’s nice to have multiple ways to control an application. With Desktopple Pro, you can control it with the menu bar item or with the System Preferences. But sometimes, neither of those methods are convenient.

Desktopple Pro WidgetSo today, I’m releasing the Desktopple Pro Widget. A quick trip to the Dashboard lets you launch and quit Desktopple Pro as well as hide and show the Desktop. This is really handy, especially if you run Desktopple Pro without the menu bar item.

Enjoy!

The widget is cool; unfortunately, it doesn’t work. Please see my email about the strange prefpane problems I’ve been having with this reallye excellent app/prefpane/whatever. Please make it an app. It would save me a lot of grief.

Hi August. Can I suggest an even faster way for launching Dtopple pro or stopping Dtopple pro — make applescripts to do this and instruct your users to put it in their quicksilver scripts folder. I’m betting most of your users are quicksilver users.

As I emailed you, I’m having prefpane problems like Ishan. But I disagree with him I prefer it in the prefpane rather than taking up space in the dock. But if it was in the applications folder but only showing in the menu bar, that would be fine too.
