Quixote

In the latest This Week in Tech, good friend Leo Laporte hosted, among other people, Dave Winer.
During the show, Dave (with whom I’ve had dust-ups before) claims that Podcasting in iTunes had nothing to do with why Ray Slakinski and I gave up developing iPodderX, the first true podcasting application. Of course, Dave never talked […]

If you’re wondering why things have been quiet around here, it’s because over the last several weeks I’ve been working on my very first book. I turned in the first draft yesterday, and I’m anxiously awaiting the first round of editor’s notes.

JunkieBlog Gets It

Monday, June 25th, 2007

I just saw this nice little review of Desktopple over at the Junkie Blog. In one sentence, they sum up the entire reason I wrote Desktopple in the first place:

Wednesday, June 6th, 2007

Victor Cajiao, of the Typical Mac User podcast, has invited me to co-host with him this Sunday (June 10th).

Some of the new features

Unintended Consequences, and How Not to Ask for Help

Sunday, December 3rd, 2006

As many of you know, Cookie Assassin is the download du jour at MacAppADay. John Gruber at DaringFireball thinks software giveaways are bad idea. But I signed up with MacAppADay for a lot of reasons, and none of them was to “appeal to cheapskates.”
Mostly, I wanted to use a software giveaway as an opportunity to […]

Featured Download: Server Siren

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

I just noticed that Server Siren is listed as the Featured Download in its category at Apple.com. I’m not sure who makes those decisions or why, but I couldn’t be more pleased. Thanks, Apple! A big Tip O’ the Hat to you!

WWDC Bound

Saturday, May 20th, 2006

Well, bought the ticket today, as well as made hotel reservations. This will be my second WWDC, and I’m really looking forward to it. It’s certainly not cheap, but it’s definitely worth it. I can’t wait!
